This the Accra airport and we are loading our luggage into the truck. President Shulz is in the truck and Sister Shulz is in the back ground. These other gents are out to make a buck even when you say you don't need there help. Sister Ivie looks pretty good after 19 hours of traveling.
This President and Sister Bybee, he is a counselor to President Shulz. They have been staying in our apartment and making sure everything is working and ready for us. They also have spent time in the district so they could show us around and to be able to find the Elders apartments and all of the meeting houses. They stayed with us a couple of days and then threw us into the pond. You have to learn to swim sooner or later. (Or drive in this big game of Chicken)
This is our street in front of our apartment looking to the South. It looks the same to the North
We are in an intersection blending into the traffic flow
Sister Ivie coming down the stairs from her humble apartment.
The Bybee's took us to lunch and Melody ordered Tillapia, She expected a fillet with rice. This feller just stared up at her in her total shock. It was good once you got past the eyes.
This is the Swedru Branch 1 building. Sister Ivie was giving a piano lesson to her first student.
This is our trotro. Sure does beat the public transportation
This is the Swedru 2 branch building. This is our resident branch that we will attend when we are not on assignment at one of the other branches.
This is our apartment on the second floor. (The entire second floor.)
Sister Ivie wheeling and dealing with a roadside vendor for pineapple. They had baskets of 6 pineapples and when she ask the price the said 5CDs and she thought is should be 1 CD. She did not realize it was for the entire basket.
This is view from our balcony. The tall poles are TV antennas

Another look to the West
This is the living room with Dinning room through the door
We have parking behind locked gates that watchman opens for us when we leave or come. He also washes our truck every morning. Say's he needs something to do and likes it. He does it with a bucket of water or several buckets as the case may demand.
This is Spencer Kimball Wallace, he is the son of President Wallace of the District Presidency. We went with Pres Wallace to Esikuma branch for our sunday meetings. The branch is two weeks old. They meet in a high school.
This is the high school. It has a couple of lights hanging from the ceiling, open air sides and open space between the class rooms. We spoke in sacrament meeting and Sister Ivie taught the Relief Society lesson
We final have internet in our apartment. It is very interesting being disconnected from all outside communication. We also recommend if you would like to call us, one way is using V.IBER.com on your mobile device. It is a free call or message service. We are still working on Skype and should have it working soon. I am supposed to have a Skype # 505-609-8920 that you can call from any phone and gets on Skype. No Guarantee that it will work.
We are going to Cape Coast on Wednesday for mission business with most of the missionaries. I will be able to find out how to make our Skype work from the other Senior Couples. They say they use it all the time.
It sounds like you are jumping right in! We are so proud of you. I think my favorite picture is the one of the fish. I got a good laugh thinking about how to handle that gracefully!
