One Month Down

This has been a very busy week as we meet with the Zone Leaders and made a plan for ways we could help the Elders in the Zone.  We made a schedule to have a fireside at the mid week meeting, that they could bring their investigators and less active member to watch the movie of the Restoration.  This is the same movie that was shown at the Joseph Smith Memorial Building in Salt Lake City.  It is a great movie and puts all of the elements of the restoration in order.  We plan to show this movie in Swedru 2  branch next week. Swedru 1 the following week and Odiben the last Wednesday of the month.  Then next month we will follow a similar schedule showing the Testaments movie.

There were over forty investigators and members for the first fireside.  We had the ten Elders and Sisters from the area also in attendance.

Brother Bildad was one of the original pioneers of the Church in Ghana.  Somewhere along the way his records were lost and this caused feelings that kept him away.  The Elders tracked him out this last week and He said he was ready to come back and be re-baptized.  He was very open about his desire to

Elder Laylae is the new district leader in Winneba.  He is from the Tongna Community in Salt Lake City.  He is fun to be around.

I guess it is hard to forget the market since we go every week.  Here there is lots of smoked fish, and I still am amazed at the loads they carry on there heads.

Anyone for fresh hoof.  The Ghanians' do not waste anything.  This is why we are challenged with whole fish in the soup.  They like all of it.  Bones heads fins and tails.  I will take a while before we have the same appreciation.

At District Meeting these Elders felt the world needed to know that they were not skin heads.  But the hair do is simpler to deal with in this heat.
