We had a special Zone Meeting to celebrate Elder Rowe end of his mission. The district or zone usually get together to have a last supper before the elder or sister leaves. So we had special dinner (this sister refused the dog or cat menu) So we had a special burrito that Elder Rowe made. Some chicken, hot dogs,(the tube type) rice, noodles, cabbage and maybe a few other things. We played a rousing game of Moffi, and then we watched a movie (after the electricity came back on)
We meet with Elders in Wanaba and they took us down to the beach. We had no idea it was so close. It takes about 30 minutes to drive from our house. When we travel to Cape Coast we are actually driving very close to the ocean and the coast line. We can see it three or four times in the trip. A couple of the small villages we drive through are right on the coast and you can see the fishing boats at work.
This Brother Nash, he joined the Church in 1988, and shortly after his baptism he had an accident were he lost his right arm and leg. He is an amazing man and has such a testimony of the love of the Savior and he is constantly reading and improving his knowledge of the gospel. He keeps the Elders busy contacting people he has talked to. He also lives on the second floor of his building and I have no idea how he gets about.
This large mound of dirt is a termite hill. Chris these are a little different from the mud tunnels we see in Farmington. These mounds are all over the place and are full of flying termites.
All the Senior Couples and the Mission President and his wife went to a pro soccer game. It was a good game but the true entertainment was watching the fans and their emotions about calls and plays that the coaches and officials made. When the officials left the field at half time and the end of the game they were surround by police with rock shields over there heads to protect them when getting close to the stands. Wasn't sure we would be in the middle of a riot.
This was a very large stadium and was beautiful day. Had a nice lunch with the couples and then traveled back to the mission home
